Insurance & Fees

If you have out-of-network benefits, our billing team will be happy to help determine how these can be applied. We will submit claims on your behalf and request that the insurance company send the funds directly to me, so you will not have to wait for reimbursement. We are not an ‘in-network provider,’ even though we take insurance and work with companies such as Aetna, Cigna, United, Blue Cross, GHI, and others. This means that we are able to maintain a greater level of confidentiality with your medical records.

Your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your insurance coverage. If you are without insurance or if your insurance is limited, we will make every effort to work with you to find a payment plan that works for you.

Take the GPG Symptom Checker

At Greenwich Psychology Group, our symptom checker helps clients track their symptoms of depression or anxiety. Taking the assessment doesn’t provide a formal diagnosis, but it can help you determine what next steps you may need to take. The evaluation uses a series of questions to review the feelings and symptoms you’ve experienced over the past two weeks. The results will help you distinguish if professional help is the best next step.

What to Expect

We make it easy to receive psychology services in Greenwich, Connecticut. We begin the treatment process with a phone consultation to help us understand your needs and overall goals. We will also use this call to determine which of our expert clinicians meets your specific needs.

While the psychotherapy treatment process differs between individuals, the overall goal is to help patients reach their full potential, learn more about their inner strengths and begin the healing process. Our expert clinicians will take an active role in your recovery to better understand your therapy needs and provide effective treatment for more significant progress toward your goals.

About Our Greenwich Psychology Services

As some of the best psychologists in Greenwich, Connecticut, we offer two general approaches to psychotherapy. These services are available virtually or in person:

  • Open-ended sessions: For some patients, sharing thoughts in an open-ended way is the best way to reach a solution. Our therapists will work with you during open-ended sessions to facilitate awareness and personal growth while providing a safe space for you to explore your current situation.
  • Structured sessions: Some patients benefit from structured therapy sessions. During these therapy sessions, you and one of our clinicians will work together to develop a treatment plan. During these sessions, you may also work on specific skills or review different types of interactions to create targeted treatment goals.

If needed, we can combine these two approaches or alternate between them.

Patient Information

How often you receive therapy will vary depending on your treatment goals. Some patients attend sessions weekly, while others come at biweekly or monthly intervals. You may opt to visit our office more frequently if you experience an emotionally distressing event like a breakup. When you meet with one of our clinicians, they will work with you to determine how frequently you should visit the office. Our clinicians also offer specialized consultations, at-home visits, and additional support between scheduled sessions.

The length of time you should attend therapy also depends on your specific needs and goals. If you are addressing a particular problem, you may only require a few sessions to reach a solution. On the other hand, if you need our services for a long-standing concern, you may benefit from therapy for an extended period. We want you to use our services as often or as rarely as you feel you need.
