Donna Marie Dyer is a licensed clinician with over two decades of clinical experience. A Fairfield County native, she was born in Greenwich Hospital and spent most of her early years in the Greenwich private school system. Donna works with a wide range of clients, from adolescents, adults, parents, and couples, to business leaders and corporations. She provides time-limited and solution-focused therapy to help clients work through their challenges and live the life they want. Clients often see a reduction of symptoms early on in treatment.
Donna obtained her clinical training at Southern Connecticut State University, followed by intensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She worked in a variety of settings, including Silver Hill Hospital, during which time she implemented the DBT program, providing individual and group therapy, team consultation, and staff training. There, she also worked with college students struggling with emotional, behavioral, and addiction issues and families needing guidance to help their child. Donna has also provided clinical supervision to graduate students from Columbia and Fordham University.
Donna’s expertise is in helping individuals and families struggling with anxiety, depression, marital and family issues, anger issues, ADHD, PTSD, self-harm, and addiction recovery issues. Donna also provides DBT skills training in a group setting to clients, focusing on core skills of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. Groups are geared toward high-functioning individuals who struggle with emotion regulation and distress tolerance.
Donna utilizes a biopsychosocial model in her practice. She considers the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence the client’s body and mind. Her evidenced-based behavioral approaches, including mindfulness, provide the highest quality of care and positive outcomes. Her approach comes from a place of validation and empathy.

At Greenwich Psychology Group, our symptom checker helps clients track their symptoms of depression or anxiety. Taking the assessment doesn't provide a formal diagnosis, but it can help you determine what next steps you may need to take. The evaluation uses a series of questions to review the feelings and symptoms you've experienced over the past two weeks. The results will help you distinguish if professional help is the best next step.
