Meet Dr. Alessandra Bryant

Marriage and Family Therapist

Dr. Alessandra Bryant, a doctoral level marriage and family therapist in Connecticut, offers a holistic approach in her practice. She explores the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence couples and families in a secure environment in which to discuss their difficulties. From the first session, clients gain tools to improve their relationships, symptoms, and quality of life.

Dr. Bryant’s expertise extends beyond her private practice. She is the clinic director and faculty at Fairfield University’s Koslow Centre for Marriage and Family Therapy Program. Her teaching experience at Ohio State University encompasses human development, sexuality, intimacy, and parenting issues.

Dr. Bryant combines techniques from the top of our field, including emotionally focused therapy, transgenerational, psychodynamic structural, and Gottman’s method. Simply put, she can help you regain a sense of trust, intimacy, and connection, no matter what you’re going through.

Dr. Bryant works well in working with individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing relationship difficulties, parenting difficulties, financial issues, and affair recovery. She understands the complexities of the family system and is skilled at developing tools to promote healthy communication with couples and families, resulting in increased empathy and flexibility. She assists couples in overcoming their hurt to strengthen their connections with themselves and their partners.

Dr. Bryant has authored numerous journal articles and presented her research at conferences. Her approach to therapy is deeply rooted in compassion and warmth , fostering a healing environment where clients can explore complex issues while feeling safe, secure, and inspired to grow. She builds on her clients’ strengths, explores new perspectives, and develops new skills to help them overcome obstacles, gain self-awareness, and become their own therapists.
