Skylar earned a master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Ct. She has extensive experience treating high-functioning couples and their spouses, with a specific focus on communication issues, intimacy stressors, financial stressors, and infidelity of one or both partners in stressful positions and implications. The fight or flight survival responses accord negative interpretations and projections onto another person, situation, or environment, limiting the individual, couple, or family to stay present, transparent, open, and balanced—skills and bridging vastly different communication styles within couples.
Skylar uses a holistic approach, combining mind/body/energy practices and integrating them. She combines traditional Western psychology and energy healing in a psychotherapeutic setting the teachings. She utilizes practices of emotion-focused therapy, Solution-focused, EMDR, Integrative Breathwork, Shamanic Reiki, Gestalt, meditation, and solution-focused/heart-centered relationship treatment.
